Sooo I was typeing this awesome super cool post then my stupid self clicked on a link and deleted it all so FML. Anyway My names Tres Schnakenberg I'm from Havre de Grace MD and I'm a drifter.
I've been Dirt track racing since I was 12 and drifting since I was 17. I curently own 2 Rx7's one has a 13b and its my missle drift car with a huge story behind it. The other is a Ls1 Rx7 that I just recently aquired.
I bought my first Rx7 when I was 17 after searching for about 2 years to find the perfect one to meet my budget. In october 2009 I found her on Rx7club and instanly new she was the one. That night I called the guy and took an 8 hour drive and drove the car home that night. Here is the car untouched and very stock with 185xxx miles on it.
The inside
Under the hood
From that day forward My life changed and I became a drifter. Within a few months I had gotten a full suspension, corksprt exaust, welded diff, and other nic naks here is how she looked in december.
I loved the car derily and took her to her first ever drift event at Summit point wv on my 18th bday I was literally 5 minutes from the track when one of the apex seals gave way and I finally blew the motor up it sucked and it was raining. Luckily my mom and dad followed me down and we managed to drive the car to the track. We stayed for most of the day and then decided to leave. We atempted to drive the car home we only got a few blocks away when the exaust caught fire lol. I was very thankful when the man whos lawn I was now parked in came out and towed my car into his driveway and let me keep it there till monday. Within the next two weeks I scraped money together and took a risk. I bought a jdm motor from JDM engine depot and took it home in the back of my grandmothers PT Cruiser LOL.
We used the cherry picker to get the engine out
Then we dropped it into the car
Heres some IC work
and some more

The bumper all ziptied on
And so that was my First motor swap in that car. From here things started moving super fast and I became adicted to burning rubber. My dad was searching a junk yard while I was at school one day and he called me and asked if I wanted an alluminum hood for my car and I of course freeked out and said why wouldnt I and so he straped to the roof of the PT and drove it home. The only problem was the hood was like brown grey and the car was dark blue so I decided I wanted a cool paint hood and came up with the design and my dad painted it fome me. Here is the finish project.
A little after that I had another Drift nirvana event at Summit point. Sheets on the way there
Cool little burnout
Next came hyperfest and started an awesome Roadtrip weekend. I started at my house and drove 2 hours and 45 min to the track.
Stayed there Friday and saturday. Drove home sunday then about an hour after I got home I turned around and started my trip to the outer banks nc in the middle of june in an Rx7 with no A/C. needless to say I was hot but it was worth the trip. Later on in july I was in the parade. Then some other fun stuff.
I had gottin a new girlfriend amber and was at the top of my world and thought everything was going for me. Then the unthinkable happened. It was early august at about 1:30 AM and I was doing the nasty..... I was street drifting. Now if you no me you no I'm against street drifting and this is why.
I curbstomped my 7 and became a miserable person for a long time cause from that point one my life came crashing down around me. I lost my job later that month. Then October 6th my Gandfather past away. I was dealing with funeral stuff for 11 days in kansas. I came home very sad but extremily happy cause my Girlfriend amber spent the night that night. The next day was friday amd I still didnt have work but My friend chris had a 7 and wasn't aloud to keep it because his family had to many cars as it was. So I went to his house and put the car together with some of my parts like my coilovers and wheels and the lisence plat off my 7. I drove the car home that night.
the next day I didn't do anything to the car I just hung out with my girlfriend all day. Then the worst thing in my life happened. I woke up to my mom screaming and the medics in my parents room. October 17th my father abruptly past away and I was broken. After the funeral had past I was still out of work but needed something to pass the time and keep my mind ocupied. So I started taking my wreked 7 (marylin) apart and putting Lola together with all her parts like the turbo2 motor the s5 doors I completely gutter the inside to the point of no dash and all. I worked day and night to get the car ready for 100 drifter of december. Then finally at 3 am Saturday morning December 3rd I had finished the car and loaded the truck I inheritaed from my grandfather and loaded the car built in my tears and took off with only one thing in mind I wanted to DRIFT.
Inside pic at the event
The Event went flawless and me my girlfriend and friend chris all had an absolute blast. On sunday the last run if the weekend I did blow up the trans and well I haven't touched ther car since except 2nd gear fun in the snow.
Lola still sits docile waiting for the season to start again. But I'm just going at it putting my life back together I asked my now fience to marry me on new years I got a job as a mechanic at a local shop. And just traded my truck for an 87 mazda rx7 with an ls1 in it. I named her shaymen. I still have much work to do to make her mine.
But she still looks beautiful especially when you see this
Now you are up to date from when my when my life of stance started until today. Whats next nobody knows!
