Ok so there is this place in Baton Rouge outside of Central (for you local ppl) that has been closed for 15+ years.
Its off of Greenwell Springs Road and has a huge abandoned parking lot.
I was talking to Taylor about seeing if we could somehow contact the owner of the land and see about having some meets/events held there for the drifters.
It would get some drifters off the streets since instead of risking their life they can just go down to the parkinglot that would be always open, or open on Sundays or something.
Here's the street view:

Before you say it can't be done, consider this. An abandoned parkinglot for a car pool/bus station is now used by local drifters in Atlanta. They have weekly drift days on Sundays.
Drifted.com did a feature on it. www.drifted.com/kenny-freeman/slide-or-die/1718/
Also one of the drifters ive talked with on another forum who said it was an abanonded piece of land and they contacted the owner and asked if it was ok for them to use it as a drift pad.

No barriers; they use skidmarks as a "track" and the speed is nowhere near the speed of a normal racetrack.
So anyways, what are yalls thoughts? If you want to bring this up on another local forum feel free.
Only reason I THINK it wont work is 1) owner says no 2) no barriers 3) too close to the main highway.
